We are dedicated to promoting all of the arts happening throughout the city of Manchester. We provide calendar listings of performing and visual arts events and information regarding the many venues and organizations we have here in the Queen City.

Manchester Arts Commission
The first Art Commission was created in 1937, requiring three persons who served varying terms in office. Over the years the Commission functioned at varying degrees of activity, or inactivity, but always with a passion for promoting public art and all volunteers.

Commissioners
Kelleigh L. Domaingue, Esquire ~ Associate, Tober Law Offices, P.A.
Kelleigh L. Domaingue is a lifelong Manchester resident and the current Chair of the Manchester Arts Commission. An ardent supporter of the arts, Ms. Domaingue studied music while at Boston College, and has performed as a member of the Boston College University Chorale, Wind Symphony, Flute Choir and Bands Program, as well as with the Manchester Chorale Society. She attended Vermont Law School and is employed as an attorney with Tober Law Offices, P.A. In addition to the Arts Commission, Ms. Domaingue serves on the Manchester School Board, as the Vice President and Founder of the Southern NH Women’s Business Network, on the New Hampshire Philharmonic’s Silent Auction Committee, and as the Founder and Chair of the Manchvegas Oscars Committee.

Elizabeth Hitchcock ~ Developer/Office Manager/Sales Engineer, Dynamic Network Services, Inc.
Elizabeth Hitchcock works at Dynamic Network Services, Inc., as a developer, an office manager and sales engineer. She is also the owner and founder of Hitchcock Creations, a web development firm that specializes in creating exciting standards compliant web experiences. Liz received her BS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. She is a member of the Manchester Young Professionals Network Business Committee, and is on the board for the Amoskeag Rowing Club. In her free time she enjoys jazz music, photography and acrylic painting.

Peter Ramsey ~ President/CEO, Palace Theatre
Peter Ramsey is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH. He received his B.A. at Keene State College and his Doctor of Law at the Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord, NH. For the past seventeen years he has been involved in the professional, administrative, and artistic planning aspects of the performing arts. In 1990, Peter founded the Lakes Region Theatre in Meredith, NH and served as both a Manager and Producer for over a decade, producing more than 200 theatre shows. In 1999, Peter and the Palace Theatre Board of Trustees undertook the reopening and reinvention of the Palace Theatre, which has since flourished. Peter also served as a member of the N.H. Legislature for eight years in the House of Representatives and on numerous committees including the City of Manchester Riverfront Development Study Committee, Keene State College Alumni Board of Trustees, City of Manchester Intown Commission, and the Manchester Arts Commission. His other interests include soccer – he has been a life-long college soccer coach and currently is the head coach at Saint Anselm College.

Jeanine Tousignant ~ Director of Development, Manchester Community Music School
A graduate of HARTT School of Music with a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Music Management, Jeanine Tousignant joined the Manchester Community Music School as the school’s first Director of Development in June 2005.

Throughout her twelve year career in the field of development Jeanine has served in nearly all aspects of the field from Database Manager to Director of Development. She has worked for the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, New Britain Symphony, and the Buffalo Museum of Science. As she continued to grow in the field of Development, Jeanine became the Assistant Director of Development at Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY) and returned to New Hampshire as the Assistant Director of Development at the Concord Community Music School. In 2002, Jeanine joined the Women’s Fund of New Hampshire as their first Director of Development, where she led all fundraising efforts. At the time of her departure in 2005, the development program had grown to raising nearly $250,000 annually with a strong system and structure for growth in place. Returning to her love of the arts after three years with WFNH, Jeanine joined the Manchester Community Music School as their first Director of Development, and now works with the board to facilitate all fundraising and marketing activities.

Jeanine is President of the Board of Directors of CONFR (Continuing Education in Fundraising). In addition, she is an active volunteer with the Greater Manchester YMCA, and has pursued her love of playing the clarinet with the NH Philharmonic during 2004. An active member of the Manchester Young Professionals Network, she serves on their Nominating Committee. She has served on the Manchester Arts Commission since 2007.

While Jeanine is originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, she and her husband Chris Drobat enjoy living, working and volunteering in their community, and are at home in Manchester, New Hampshire.

Georgie Reagan ~ Honorary Chair, Manchester Arts Commission
Georgie Reagan loved being an Art Commissioner and the Commissioners she worked with – actually a total of 10 years, Chairman for 8 of them, appointed by 3 different Mayors, first by Mayor Beaulieu, then Mayor Wieczorek, finally Mayor Baines who honored her with a new title “Mayor’s Assistant for
the Arts” as her 5-year term limit came to a close in 2004. That was one of her proudest moments, followed by another proud moment – when Mayor Guinta RE-APPOINTED her. She gives special thanks to Mayor Guinta, Ald. Ted Gatsas and Ald. at Large Mike Lopez and City Clerk Leo Bernier – for swearing her in for the last time.

*10 years on the Commission – 8 as Chair

*Initiated Manchester Art Fund that only started August, 2004 now totals $47,000, Chair

*Represented the City as founding partners of the Welcome Center, Chair

*“Art on the Wall at City Hall” gallery dedicated April, 2003, boasts continuous non-lapsing exhibits and is already bookings for 2008, Chair

*Open Doors Manchester art trolley – Founding partners. Sept. 2007 begins its 7th year, Chair

*Led the search for permanent tenants at Carol Rines Ctr., negotiated the lease between the City and MAA and has served as their mentor and loving, caring landlord for the past 3 years.
